Dana Corporation is seeking to hire a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor in Humboldt, TN.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement ideas to continuously improve safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping toward set goals.
Maintain an environment to promote efficiency and positive employee relations to production operators.
Understand and implement union contract and plant policies fairly and consistently.
Monitor and adjust production/work assignments based on customer demand and part availability.
Counseling and disciplinary action when needed.
Supervise training of all operators in the department.
Assist in the orientation & training of new Team Members
Coordinate schedule with production control and other supervisors.
Communicate with Operations Manager, other supervisors, and other disciplines to minimize problems.
Evaluation and feedback on individual performance.
Monitor daily production reports on downtime, set-up time, productivity, and housekeeping and develop/implement correction actions.
Document and report necessary productivity reports, attendance, overtime, etc.
Work closely with all functional areas (Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Accounting, Production Control, Shipping, etc.) to provide operators and office staff necessary information to produce quality products and services.
Serves on committees and project teams as needed.
Review daily production requirements and effectively utilize manning to meet production requirements with the greatest efficiency
Focus on quality assurance of our product. Participate in NCP review. Address any and all quality issues immediately.
Develop a 5S plan, mentor team leads to raise awareness of 5S requirements, evaluate condition daily, follow-up on condition that is not within standard.
Ensure the safety of all employees by: educating employees on accident policies and procedures, report all accidents, injuries, and near misses as required. Communicate effectively all information regarding any accident within the department. Address any and all safety issues immediately.
Participate in DOS events and be proactive in predicting abnormalities in area and taking action to correct.
Execute attendance and Overtime policies
Performs any other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
Must be willing to work 3rd shift, but be flexible to work others as required and regular overtime.
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience utilizing lean tools.
Candidate must have technical competency and be mechanically inclined (i.e. basic understanding of how production equipment functions).
Must have computer skills to include MS Office programs; Lotus Notes/e-mail and MRP systems are highly preferred.
Must have the ability to read and interpret technical documents; may include blueprints, processes, and quality documentation.
A basic knowledge of robotic welding and CNC Machining is highly preferred.
Must have leadership skills; a strong work ethic; good decision-making skills; and good listening skills.
Must have the ability to be a proactive, energetic leader and be a team player.
Must have basic machine/tooling knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
Must have the ability to deal with people in a professional and ethical manner. This includes work assignments, constructive and consistent application of disciplinary policies, training people in the department, generating and maintaining a team concept to meet Dana s goals and objectives.
Required Education &
Experience:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; however, Associate s Degrees or higher in technical fields are highly preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of previous supervisory experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
